Major changes to submission rules and manuscript format for AJHS

As our society continues to grow—especially following AJHS's inclusion in Scopus—we have seen a significant increase in submissions from around the world. We appreciate this global engagement and are working to further improve our editorial operations.

In line with the expansion of AJHS’s publication frequency and the revision of the Article Processing Charge (APC), we will introduce updated submission guidelines, author instructions, and manuscript templates for AJHS. These updates are part of a broader restructuring of our editorial system to ensure a smoother and more efficient publication process. The new policies and formats will be applied starting from AJHS Vol.30 No.1, scheduled for publication in January 2026.

Transitional Measures for AJHS:

  • Manuscripts already accepted for publication will be converted to the new format by the editorial office before the author proofreading stage.
  • Manuscripts currently under review will follow the existing process until acceptance. After acceptance, the editorial office will apply the new format before proofreading.
  • Manuscripts that were returned for resubmission before acceptance (during the technical check stage and prior to receiving a system-assigned manuscript number) must follow the new guidelines and format.
  • Manuscripts submitted from today onward must comply with the new guidelines and format.
