⚠️ Warning: Fraudulent Emails Impersonating AJHS

We have received reports that fraudulent emails impersonating the Asian Journal of Human Services (AJHS) are currently circulating. Although it is regrettable that we must issue such a warning, we believe it is essential to prioritize the safety and awareness of our members. For this reason, we are providing the following information.

1. Fraudulent “Call for Papers” Emails

For reference, screenshots of confirmed scam emails are displayed on this page. In these images, information that differs clearly from official AJHS communications is highlighted in red.

Please note the following points:

  • The only official email address of the AJHS Editorial Office is [email protected] . Email addresses such as [email protected] are not associated with AJHS in any way.
  • Manuscript submissions to AJHS are accepted exclusively through Editorial Manager®. We do not accept submissions by email under any circumstances.
  • Article Processing Charges (APC) for AJHS are billed only in Japanese yen (JPY). We never request or accept payments in U.S. dollars (USD).

2. Fraudulent “Letter of Acceptance (LoA)” Emails

For reference, we also display examples of fake Letters of Acceptance (LoA) that were attached to fraudulent emails. These documents do not reflect the official design or format used by AJHS.

An official LoA is issued only under the following conditions and is sent exclusively from [email protected] :

  • After an official acceptance notification has been issued through Editorial Manager®, and
  • after payment of the Article Processing Charge (APC) has been confirmed, and
  • only when the author has explicitly requested the issuance of an LoA.

At no point will the AJHS Editorial Office unilaterally issue a Letter of Acceptance if the manuscript status in Editorial Manager® is not “Accepted,” if the APC has not been paid, or if the author has not requested the LoA.
