About Us

The term “Human Services” refers to the various forms of support provided to individuals facing social challenges, with the aim of enhancing their daily lives and well-being. Core disciplines within this field include medicine, nursing, social welfare, education, economics, and psychology. At the same time, the scope of Human Services has been rapidly expanding as interdisciplinary approaches emerge—such as identifying social issues through literary expression or redefining established concepts by applying methods from other academic domains.

Research in Human Services, when conducted with sound scientific methodology, is widely recognized at the international level and is expected to advance further through multinational and multidisciplinary collaboration.

ASHS seeks to contribute to the progress and development of the Human Services field worldwide by disseminating scientific research and practical initiatives aimed at addressing the challenges Asia faces in achieving a sustainable society.
