Major Changes to Submission Rules and Manuscript Format for JIE

Following AJHS and TRR, the Journal of Inclusive Education (JIE), the third journal of our academic society, is now entering a significant phase of transformation.

As previously announced in September last year, there will be no change to the publication frequency of JIE. However, the publication month will be revised from the end of August to the end of October. In addition, the Article Processing Charge (APC) will be updated to 33,000 JPY, aligning with the level applied to TRR.

Alongside these revisions, we will introduce a dedicated online submission and peer review system, Editorial Board™, which will replace the previous submission method. Accordingly, the manuscript submission link has been updated. All submitted manuscripts will be anonymized within the system and processed under a double-blind peer review framework.

These changes are intended to enhance editorial efficiency, improve the overall quality of the publication process, and provide a more streamlined experience for authors and reviewers. The new policies and system will be applied starting with articles accepted for publication in JIE Vol.15, scheduled for release at the end of October 2026.

Transitional Measures for JIE:

For manuscripts currently under peer review, the editorial office will contact the authors individually.
All new submissions should follow the updated policies and procedures.
