Publication fees & Revenue Sources

Publication fees

All articles are open access and freely available online, immediately upon publication. This is made possible by an article-processing charge (APC) that covers the range of publishing services we provide. The APC, charged to the corresponding author after the final manuscript is editorially accepted, must be paid in order for the article to be published in the journal. As the corresponding author of the manuscript, you are responsible for making or arranging the payment upon editorial acceptance of the manuscript. The publication fees for TRR are 33,000 JPY per article (Tax included)*. Publications from foreign countries will be converted by the exchange rate on the specified date.

A quotation and an official tax-compliant invoice will be sent to the corresponding author via their registered email address through the PayPal system. Please note that once the payment has been made, it is non-refundable, even if the article is withdrawn after payment.

Revenue sources

The TRR is a self-financed journal. Article publication charges levied to authors is the only source of income which is utilized in maintaining the administrative cost. Operating expense including the cost of holding an academic conference, web presence, and staff salaries is supported by the APC.
